Nothing can be done about modern Israel as a state with an assimilated population after 60 years of existence (irrespective of the blood shed).
But, as far as the birth of Israel is concerned (and thus the origin of the conflict), I have an unequivocal opinion: it was founded on a vicious lie; an argument that regresses back 2000 years to a tribe of ignorant settlers who expended their time filing off the genitals of their children and dissolving gentile marriages perceived threatening to their national xenophobia.
To think that the politics of the modern world can be reduced to such an outdated form of the most fantastical human conceit, is both morally inconceivable yet existentially inescapable.
Of course, this is just my opinion. |
