True, but isolating Hezbollah politically is not a piece of cake, given that other Lebanese political parties do not have the necessary integrity to jointly "isolate" Hezbollah. At different moments, at least one of them was open for selling out to Hezbollah (or Iran or Syria) for some short term benefits; Yesterday it was FM and PSP, today it's FPM.
On the other hand, by politics, you're probably trying to imply non violent means. I'm not sure how much a party like Hezbollah, or any other extremist, militant, or terrorist organization, would abide by peaceful means of competition. May 7th incidents were a case where political measures taken to curb Hezbollah's outlawry were faced by full-scale violence, military invasions, and terror.
Probably, to free Lebanon from its "resistance", a new (popular and peaceful as long as it doesn't become suicide) resistance is needed, but is there a framework for it?
