Assigning candidates to locations is not a "present" or a recognition to what they did or did not do. It should be based on ability to win and focus on the end goal: getting the majority, along with (trustworthy, i.e. not Michel el Murr) allies. Of course, within that, FPM should strive to have the largest piece (everyone will) but not at the expense of losing a seat for the overall opposition (i.e. it is better for Marada to get 2 seats than for FPM to get one and Nayla the other).
Having said that, Gl Karam (just as the other army heroes from that era) should get all the respect and support he deserves from FPM and the base.
I would love to see him as our next minister of defence... From Yarze and back to Yarze...
If He wants to be an MP, then GMA can have him run in Kesserwan or Metn or Ba3bda
