Let me set things straight.
If, hypothetically, FPM was at the shoes of FM and behaved similarly for the months that preceded the May incidents, I wouldn't have remained supportive for FPM, and that's exactly what your friend ought to do.
And yes their is always another alternative like being independent whether you are in Maten or Beirut or anywhere.

I agree half the way with you that GMA sometimes, undeliberately. translate unproperly his thoughts in the media.
Neveretheless, on that specific statement I did not hear any provocative or sarcastic words, but even though GMA wept tears on that day FM supporters would have labeled those tears as the crocodile's tears.

I'm saying that Hoss does not qualify as a competing leader, with all respect to his person. He's far from being a "better" alternative.
First, I applyied the camparison of Hoss's meeting in a sarcastic meaning, yet I respect your opinion but I think Hoss is far more a better person than Siniora both morally and skillfully. Moreover, neither FPM nor the opposition have set Hoss as an alternative of Siniora for Hoss has withdrawn himself from the political arena.

The parliament was closed from 2006 till 2008, but still there were, there are and there will be plenty of occasions to proceed or at least get started with this step. I hope it gets materialized soon, and not just be used as empty talk since the elections are coming.
You may be right. But let us wait for this post election period to judge if FPM will neglect this file after having (maybe) the majority with the opposition.
