I hope someone can update us about the Beirut musical event tonight, as well as about the upcoming Notre Dame University Intercultural Dialogue Conference | 1001 Actions

My experience of a roundtable panel discussion on intercultural dialogue is: the dialogue itself can be a starting point of getting different cultures together and building down the prejudice on both sides. However these civil initiatives shall be backed by political actions as well, in order to achieve real breakthrough in the regional cooperation, as well as to affect the Israeli-Palestinian peace process.

However it was interesting to hear some sceptical views about the role of EU.

What do you think about the EU's role and weight in the ME? Can EU make a difference by promoting intercultural dialogue? How the people in the ME perceive EU in overall?
