I think your first proposition will only make the show more of a traditional music show like the one aired on LBC or FTV...
Now about the solos, i think the band should play at every break in, if you've never heard Alain (guitar) or GHASSAN (keyboards) solo ... then you haven't heard anything !! they should give their rocker audience something to keep them tuned in !!
