No one will tell you they are being "used" and "abused".
Just look where Iran is fighting its wars to keep the danger away and you know if they are being "used" or not. The Tammouz war is an excellent example of war by proxy and "winning without fighting is best". Keeping the war away from Iranian people/army/economy. It is a classical example.
