Lebanon within the Middle East
Dialogue the solution to conflict
A public forum by the United Australian Lebanese Movement, cosponsored by Pax Christi Victoria.
Post the Cedar Revolution of 2005, Lebanon finds itself as the proxy battleground for regional conflicts and disagreement. Commentators are once again raising the spectre of civil war. Is there an alternative to these voices? Can dialogue and inter-religious harmony offer an alternative to military conflict?
Speakers Include:
Abbas Hachem, Lebanese MP and opposition member
Professor Joseph A. Camilleri, Professor of International relations, Latrobe University
Dr. Kamran Mofid, cofounder of the Globalisation for the common good initiative
Antoun Hindy, Adjunct Faculty Graduate School of Business, RMIT
