Anyone who thinks Israel is really in opposition to the current Syrian regime is kidding himself.

Where else are they going to find a Syrian regime that's willing to make peace with them and safeguard their borders? You think they're going to gamble on the Muslim Brotherhood or a sunni-led authority? The United States is in the same line; they know that their interests lie with this Assad-led regime.

I'm also starting to think that the US is playing a dirty game in Lebanon.
