You forgot to mention that Tyre also consists of several villages surrounding it to form Qada2 soor. As well as being an archeological and touristic attraction, a natural resrve, a beautiful beach town, and a heroic city, it is also trying to get its economy jump started after years of governmental neglect. Last time I went there I remembered seeing cafes and restaurants lining up, most of which were brand new. Of course that was over 2 years ago :( |
