Because people can not help themselves. Any chance to bash Syria is taken up with extreme vigour.
Syria must prepare itself for a war, but that does not mean that it should want it or start it. It is obvious that the polarization of the opposing sides has reached boiling point. Israel is doing war games in the Golan and attacking Syria and Iran verbally, the US is on the same track also. Any sane leader would prepare his people for a war in the current climate.
