Does being a minority mean the majority is the occupier? What if the minority is the one doing the occupation? By that token the Arabs are occupying "israeli" land and all the "israelis" are doing are securing their existence and liberating "their" lands from the occupiers? What about the massacres against the Azerbaijanis? How does that go under the self-defense and the liberation of "your" land?
It has nothing to do with sectarianism, but you are using double standards.
And Iran did not support the Armenians against the Azerbaijanis, they did not wish the conflict to spill over, so they did not intervene. Big difference.
