The majority of marriages in the West last for more than 10 years, but these never get a mention in the media. You are left with celebrity and trailer trash marriages that only last months or a few years.
The situation in Lebanon is not what it used to be a generation ago. Divorce rates have skyrocketed and you have those you put up with an unhappy marriage in fear of society's view on divorcees.
