The sixties of the last century were the golden age of Lebanese art. While underneath the surface the knives were being sharpened and it was only a matter of time before Lebanon's death warrant was executed, the city went about its business, totally oblivious and indifferent to the brewing storms on the horizon. The ostrich at its finest.

In the middle of that decade Saba7 reached her zenith, Fairuz had the power of a voice that only few humans were ever endowed with. Wadi3 L safi and Nasri Shams Eddine shone like eternal stars in the skies of Lebanon. Even second line singers back then were much more talented , artistically that is, than most of what was to be on offer in later years.

I happily bring you one of the watershed in Lebanese musicals. In it Saba7 excelled beyond belief especially in such song as ( يا ريت لا إسمي حلا ولني حلا.) There was also one of the most beautiful duets ever sung between two singers in arabic (لوين يا بياع ). All other saba7 songs in this muscial are classic of the first order.

The musical art was still audial then:
